I feel bad dissing people off, especially when I don’t usually do so. But it got on my nerves and I thought you were wrong. But maybe I should have given the thought that maybe I was wrong.
Then again, it’s a fine line that I threaded. Either way, I’d come out a loser. What makes a good listener? One that listens, creates his own opinion but oh wait, his opinion might just hurt the one complaining. So he takes a step back, analyzes what white lie to tell the other party and goes about doing it, leaving both smiling at the aftermath.
Or is one considered a good listener when he gives out his opinionated view, what he thinks is right, what should be the way to go after hearing the whole story and weighing the pros and cons?
Perhaps there needs to be this element that the other party should be accepting too regardless of what the outcome is. After all, they are the ones who asked for the ear.
That’s it! Maybe they just asked for the ear. Whatever for did the mouth come out to play. It’s such a pity. For the listener now is the bearer of the repercussions… of being chosen as the listener in the first place.
As innocent as he felt he was, he had to swallow his pride knowing that the damage had been done. Yet somehow there’s this feeling in him that wishes that he wouldn’t be the chosen one.
For there’ll never be a right in a wrong.
