It was a rainy night tonight, in fact it has been raining in the evenings throughout these past few days. It completely thwarted me from continuing my schedule to go for my runs in the evenings. Turns out that I’m not a morning person so every running day, I pray that the rain will stop early enough for me to clock a few clicks before a brand new day starts.

Running at night is always an advantage as the temperature’s cooler and the sun rays are not hitting hard on your face. But it kinda makes timings a little inaccurate due to all those aids from Mother Nature.

But I’m not really gunning for timings right now. They’re just a personal benchmark for me to motivate myself while I’m on the go.

I’m starting to feel some changes on my body. Previously, I’d feel this choke in my airways half way through the laps. My breathes kept getting shorter and shorter and naturally I’d tire out fast as there were not enough oxygen being pumped around. I know it was the sticks.

But the situation’s improving right now - I am able to keep a constant breathing throughout my 9 laps. I do slow down towards the end but more of the lactic acid build up on my legs that are dragging me down instead of the heart or lungs.

I’ll try again in a day run and see if the effects are similar.

Meanwhile I’m drinking my protein shake to this song, which happened to be a remake of my favourite Chinese song. And the best part is that it was sung by a non-chinese. Awesome.
